My mother was one of the first patients to receive modern DBS. While she was 100% disabled DBS allowed for her to a have a longer, happier life.

Need help finding a “Dopamine Agonist” that doesn’t have the side effects like C/L. What else is out there to stimulate Dopamine - without the mania, constipation and nightmares? Mucuna and B1 ( maybe not taking enough) don’t seem to be doing enough and the C/L causes other awful, debilitating ( nightmares, etc) side effects in my HWP.. But w/o the Dopamine Agonist, they aren’t as active and not wanting to do as much.. Anyone have experience w / Selegiline? Doing Mucuna, L-Dopa, L- Theanine and B1- but not making a dent yet. Am I not giving right iteration or dosage? Thanks in advance🙏🏽

I’m 73 and was diagnosed with Parkinson’s in 2016. But I believe I’ve had it since 2010. I started to develop tremors in my hand. I’m a Vietnam veteran was exposed to Agent Orange. I don’t think I’m ready for DBS yet, but my disease is rapidly advancing. Becoming more and more stiff every day and have a hard time walking my Sinemet does not seem to be working very good anymore. I’m extremely depressed and have a lot of anxiety. What a debilitating disease. I just don’t know what to do.😢

I am so glad I found you on this video. You are so young and so brave, Jim!! You are absolutely not alone and nobody deserves this disease. You are extremely young but lots of us getting symptoms years before turning 50. Thank you for sharing your story.

My father died with parkinson on march 2024.he was turned 61 on 10th march n died on 12th march .as on fisrt day we observed his spO2 level was falling n we rushed to oxygen.from 4 days he was on oxyegn but having continuous fever in n on within 5 to 6 hours. on 5th day he died. it was progressive parkinson.this is very cruel disease as far as i seen its stages.it was detected in 2014 when my father has just problem to make balance while walking n little difficulty in motor skills but later on in 2018 2019 my father needs a immense care as he can't move by himself.i n 2020 21 there's was speech loss,slow bowl movement.n my father is on food pipe n mostly remained bedridden and from once in moon he can speak a sentence and mostly we communicate in symbols n sense his need by asking him to respond with hand movement(as we manage to make him walk with support till 2024 to his last times). on nov 2021 he was attacked with chest congestion that time we got him food pipe n suctioning machine n doctors said he may survive for 5 6 month not more than that and told us that last stage will be breathing problem as lungs n all over system will be destroyed. As my fathers will power was so strong and survived for next 2 n half years.he was a warrior 💪 💙 as his will power make it possible to survive with this cruel disease. i always pray no one have this disease as it attack the whole system within few years and there's is no 100% treatment to this.i am from india. State himachal pradesh. I pray no one can suffer from this disease 🙏 😞... and hope so science n medical work forward to find it's best ways to treat.

Waiting for dopamine results to come back after severe motor function impairment following RSV. I already have nerve problems (CRPS) and I believe it’s juvenile PD. I’m 21 now and have been disabled because of CRPS since I was 14 :/ I’m sad
